Join us for monthly, commmunity oriented and no-drop* social rides.
Avoid the Void rides are: casual pace (right around ~10mph), 15-25 miles in length, mixed terrain (we'll announce in advance if a route is more than Portland alleys but expect to hit some gravel) and minimal climb (less than 1k ft total.) There will usually be a shop stop mid-ride for folks to get supplies or use the bathroom.
Don't join if you're a jerk but do join if you're nervous about biking, want to build community or just need an escape from the suffering of existence. Ride departure location and route sent out two weeks in advance to members & friends and posted day before for the public.
Avoid the Void rides are always linguistically accessible in English and American Sign Language (ASL.)
We're excited to ride with you! We'll do our best to make sure you've had a good time. If you have questions or you're concerned about an aspect of our ride, let us know.
Do you primarily speak another language or have other accessability needs and want to attend? Reach out to Thomas through email or Mastodon and we'll do our best to accomodate your needs - physical, neurological, linguistic or otherwise. We're excited to ride with you and happy to make your attendance easy and fufilling.
* No drop means we don't leave anyone behind. Get a flat? We'll try to figure it out. We're not all mechanics but we'll do or best. Taking in the view? We'll wait with you. No drop means taking care of each other.
